Jenkins Tri-State Home Inspections is owned and operated by Les Jenkins, a professional home inspector with over 10 years of inspection experience and decades of hands-on construction, maintenance, and technical background.
Les brings a practical, no-nonsense approach to every inspection — focusing on clear communication, thorough evaluations, and helping clients understand the true condition of a home before they make one of life’s biggest decisions.
A Background Built on Experience
Les grew up in Aberdeen, Maryland, where he graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1987. During high school, he was a four-year varsity wrestler, an experience that helped shape the discipline, attention to detail, and work ethic he still brings to his work today.
After high school, Les built a long career working in technical, engineering, construction, and property-related fields, including time spent working on Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) and in various engineering technician roles.
His background includes troubleshooting complex systems, interpreting data, working with detailed specifications, and solving problems under pressure — skills that translate directly into high-quality home inspections.
Before becoming a home inspector, Les also worked extensively in home remodeling, property maintenance, and residential construction, giving him real-world insight into how homes are built, repaired, and maintained over time.

A Move Back to Family Roots
In May 2025, Les relocated to West Virginia to help care for his family’s long-held property and assist his father. Living and working in a rural setting has reinforced his appreciation for well-built homes, honest work, and serving communities where trust still matters.
Outside of work, Les enjoys fishing, working outdoors, restoring and repairing things, and caring for the animals on the family property — including goats, emus, peacocks, and turkeys.
